How long does the Virtual Full-Service Styling Package take to complete?

The Full-Service Styling Package usually takes around six to eight weeks to complete, and you can expect to meet with me for one to two hours each week. The length of time the overall service takes depends on your availability to schedule appointments, how long it takes online orders to be delivered, and whether or not you take advantage of Tailor Point Styling’s Alteration Services.

Do you work with clients outside of the DC metro area?

The short answer to this question is “absolutely!” My Online Services can be utilized from anywhere! The only part of the service packages that I cannot offer to you from afar is picking up your alterations and having them processed by a team of professional stitchers. I can, however, help you via video call to determine what alterations you need to have done to your clothing so you can then take them to a local seamstress.

How does Tailor Point Styling bill for service? What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment for styling packages is broken into two invoices. The first is to be paid upon signing your client agreement, and the second at the completion of your service package. Any travel fees or other fees that may be incurred will be added to the final invoice.

For alteration services, payment in full is due upon delivery of the finished alterations.

Tailor Point Styling currently accepts payment through Venmo or PayPal.

How are travel fees applied to your service packages?

Travel Fees apply for Tailor Point Styling traveling to your home to perform closet reviews, fittings, or alterations. There is no fee within eight (8) miles of Tailor Point Styling’s studio in North West DC. A one-time fee of $3 per mile is charged beyond 8 miles. 

Expenses for parking and tolls are charged at cost to the client.

If any of these fees are applicable they will be included on the client’s final invoice.

Can you build me custom clothing?

Unfortunately, Tailor Point Styling is not currently set up to sew custom clothing from scratch. Our focus is on finding clothing that fit our client’s style, needs and budget and then altering those to fit like custom-built items. This is a more cost effective model for us and or our clients.
