Style your Life…
Virtual Full-Service Styling Package
This package is great for new clients who want to redefine their style. Tailor Point Styling provides all of its normal shopping, styling, and alteration services to you in the comfort of your home and with the benefit of social distance.
- Introductory consultation (via Zoom): We discuss you, your needs, your likes/dislikes, and your budget. I walk you through the steps of your Styling Package and answer any questions you may have. After this call, I send you your welcome packet (and just a bit of homework).
- Online Closet Review: We peek in your closet to see what you love and what you’re missing. I give you guidance on how to declutter and organize your closet. It is not my goal to make you throw away all your clothes, but I will help you decide if pieces need to be purged. I also give you ideas on how to wear the clothes you already have. I also lead you through taking a set of measurements on yourself.
- Personal Shopping Guide: After your Closet Review, I send you a customized document, containing notes on your closet review, a breakdown of your personal style, and a shopping guide with up to 20 pieces, arranged into outfits. Pieces will be gathered from a wide range of online shops and vendors to suit your budget. Your Shopping Guide will also outline your style type and give tips about where to shop in the future.
If something in your Shopping Guide does not hit the mark, no worries. Let me know, and I am happy to go back and select some more pieces to make sure we’re on the right track.
- Virtual Shopping meeting: We go through your Shopping Guide document together, and I help you pick what goes into your shopping carts. This includes guidance on sizing as well as prioritizing what you buy now and what gets bookmarked for later.
- Styling your new pieces: Once your pieces have been ordered and your packages arrive, we schedule a virtual fitting where I help you determine what to keep, what to return, and what to alter, and then I help you put together outfits from your new and existing clothing.
- Open-Air fitting: For clients in the DC metro area, an in-person fitting session is also available where I can fit your new items and mark any alterations from the comfort of an outdoor space. (See details on alterations in the “Open Air Alterations” service, below.)
- Follow-Up Meeting: One month later, we touch base about your styling session to make sure you have what you need.
A fitting wardrobe…
Open-Air Alterations
Making alterations to clothes is the best way to take them from “just okay” to “meant for me.” Since the District of Columbia is in Phase Two of reopening, Tailor Point Styling has made some changes to how fitting house-calls are offered:
- I travel to your home where you try on your clothes so I can fit and mark them for alterations in the comfort of your own home. I quote you a price for your alterations before taking the clothes away.
- Alterations take place in an outdoor space such as a yard or porch. Masks are required during the fitting session.
- All alterations will be performed by an experienced, professional stitcher.
- I return the altered garments to you at your home, and we check the fit to make sure everything is to your liking.
Cost: Fitting session $40/hour (1-hour minimum) plus the cost of alterations and travel fee, if applicable.
The normal timeline for alterations is two weeks. This may vary during Phase Two of reopening. Rush orders may still be possible on a case-by-case basis and may incur a small additional fee. Let’s discuss your schedule and needs when booking your service!
